Loue requyres sinceritie.

Loue in what ere hee doth, doth not diguise his face,
His harte leyes on his toung, vnseen hee neuer goes,
Hee weares no Giges ring, hee is not one of those,
Hee doth vnclose his thoghts, to gayn vnfayned grace.

Sincero.

Non si maschera Amor, ne in fatti, ò in detti,
Non va inuisibil come Gygi fea,
In virtu d’vn anel, che quelli hauea,
Non finge, & e nel cor qual nei concetti.

Deught voor leydts-man.

Den vromen Hercules/ waert als de deught ghepresen.
Moet Liefdes leydts-man zijn/ en stercken sijn ghemoet/
Om cloeck en vast te gaen/ tot het ghewenste goet,
Daer deught de Liefd’ leydt/ oprechte Liefde’ moet wesen.

Vertu pour guide.

Hercul guidant Amour empesche qu’il ne cloche,
Mais qu’il va seurement au chemin de vertu,
Et à celuy d’Honneur, au sentier peu batu.
Vertu guidant Amour le rend franc de reproche.

Let the famous virtue of Hercules be Love's guide that no devious mistak led him astray and that he obtains the happy rewards that he desired. Is is praiseworthy when virtue leads in Love.
