Robur Amoris enim non cedit viribus vllis;

Atlas the heauens bore as poets haue vs told,
Whome Hercules did help, for which both are admyred,
But more is Cupids power, where no ayd is requyred,
Which by mayn force of loue doth heauen and earth vphold.

Atlas droeg de hemel op zijn schouders, en Hercules doet dat op zijn beurt, maar Amor draagt in zijn eentje tegelijkertijd de hemel en de aarde. De kracht van Amor doet namelijk voor geen enkele macht onder daarom moeten we Amor groter achten dan Hercules en Atlas.

Atlas bore the heaven and Hercules helped him, but Amor on his own bears both heaven and earth together. Amor's power yields not to any force. Therefore Amor has to be reckoned greater than Atlas and Hercules.
