VLiet nu mildlyk liefdestroomen
Uit het Paradys gekomen,
Daer de boom des Levens bloeit,
'k Zal my zelve lang vermoeit
Aen uw water dronken drinken,
Of veel eer daer in verzinken.
Magh my dit gebeuren, Heer
Uwen naem tot eeuwige eer?
'k Heb my zelf aen U gegeven:
'k Wil my zelve niet meer leven.
Dit 's de bron van alle goet!
Och, wat smaekt haer water zoet!
Deze zuivre waterplassen
Zullen uwe Liefste wasschen
En versterken in de deucht.
Hoop, Geloof, Vertrouwen, Vreucht,
Vrientschap, Waerheit, Recht en Vrede,
't Komt hier alles, koom Gy mede.
Gy alleen zyt heel de bron,
Gy alleen de levenszon
Die den waschdom kan verleenen.
Laet ons eens voor al vereenen!
