KOom aen, myn Lief, met alle kracht,
Zoo veel de krachten kunnen dragen,
Dit trotsche dier met geesselslagen
Gezweept en onder dwang gebracht.
Geen arbeit moet ons hier vervelen,
Myne uitverkorene, myn Bruit;
Men trapp' dien staert zyne oogen uit,
Dan zullen wy de wieken deelen
En plukken dien verheven kam.
Ik haet dat ondier, op 't herdenken
Hoe 't eens de zaligheit kon krenken
Van Englen, daer 't zyn oorsprong nam.
Het werdt ten afgront neergestooten;
Nu zweeft het over 't aerdryk heen,
En schendt my zelf in myne leen.
Koom help my, help my, onverdroten.
Ik sta U met myn hulpe by:
'k Beloof 't U, 'k zal U nooit verlaten;
Blyft Gy dit ongedierte haten,
Ik wyke nooit van uwe zy.
't Gaet wel. Wy zullen 't overwinnen.
De Hoogmoedt is 't vergif der zinnen.
