Ghij selfs vint oock ghetuijch in v gerust gemoet.
Soo int verborgen ghij v gaet bermhertich toonen
Godt salt int oopenbaer v Duijsentfout beloonen. translation

Quoy qu'en tout temps l'aumosne soit vtile
Aux souffreteux, point ne faut de trompette
A l'annoncer, comme dit l'Evangile.
La charité de cœur vraye & parfaite
Ne veut tesmoins de son œuure bien faicte.
Car il suffit que Dieu bien apperçoit,
Que l'indigent de ton bien a disette.
