Hooch, Laech, lang, breet, wijt, nauw, diep, vlack, d'een meer, D'aer min
Eijder bequaem daer toe de meester hun wil schicken
Jae so hij Wil mach hij die weeder breeken sticken.
Ghij menschen die soo brosch sijt als een Aerden Pot,
En murmureert noch vaeck misnoegent tegens Godt,
Die v van Aerde maeckt, en weer tot aerd sal/kan keeren,
Leert met ootmoedicheijt Godt uwen schepper Eeren. translation

Ces pots son faits par vn mesme potier,
Grands & petits selon sa volunté,
L'vn à honneur, l'autre à autre mestier,
De mesme argile en simplesse & bonté:
Or si quelcun estoit si effronté
Que d'estriuer encontre son facteur.
De le briser est en sa liberté.
Soit donc chacun humble à son createur. translation
