De sonnenblom haer altijdt keert,
En volcht der sonnen snelle ganghen;

Car puis qu’vne fleur insensible
Se regle selon son Autheur;
Helas! sera-il bien poßible,
Que nous ne suiuions Dieu du cœur?

Ze
kijkt omhoog. |
Love looks back / up at what is on high |
Gods
Divine love entices the very lowest to turn towards what is higher and indeed has more power to flare up higher, kindled by
some kind of fire. |
Heaven and earth and all that is in them tell me everywhere that I should love God and they do not cease telling this to all,
so that they cannot have an excuse. |
hetgeen u behaagt. |
If you love the lowliest of things, praise God instead of them, and wrench your love away them towards their maker. |
