Van wien sy t’leuen heeft ontfanghen:
De suyuer ziele sich oock went
Met al haer liefd’ en al haer wenschen

liefde lokt al het laagste om het in iets hogers en aantrekkelijkers te
veranderen zodat het zelfs als een soort brandhout hoger oplaait en opspringt. |

ook de hemel en de aarde en alles wat zij bevatten: het zegt mij allemaal aan alle kanten dat ik u lief moet hebben; het houdt

Liefde spiegelt, want door naar een bloem te kijken, herkent zij haar Schepper. |

heliotroop keert zich van nature altijd naar de zon en in dit beeld onderwijst de Liefde onze ziel.
Want gegeven dat een bloem zonder gevoel zich naar zijn Maker voegt, ach, zou het dan nog
mogelijk zijn dat wij God niet van ganser harte volgen? |
