Callimach. Amoris jusiurandum pœnam non habet.
Ovid.
Nulla fides inerit: perjuria ridet amantum
Iuppiter, & ventis irrita fere jubet.

Tibull.
Gratia magna Iovi: vetuit pater ipse valere,
Iurasset cupidè quidquid ineptus Amor.

De Liefde can niet verbeuren.
De minnaer onbevreest dē hooghsten eedt mach sweren,
Door gheen besette straf zijn valscheyt loon verwacht;
Want Venus zynen eedt met Iupiter belacht.
Den minnaer is veel eer als and're t'excuseren.

Amour ne peut mal faire.
Il ne faut jamais croire au serment qu' Amour jure,
Car il tasche arriver au but ou il pretend,
Par tout moyen possible; & chastoy il n'attend.
Les Dieux facilement pardonnent son parjure.
