CVm primum patrio visa est e gurgite Cypris
Tollere fessa caput rore fluentis aquæ,
Qualis erat, talem venienti reddidit ævo,
Et secum jussit vivere Coa manus.
Paulatim niveæ cedebant corpore guttæ,
Iurares tremulum surgere semper opus.
Læva videbatur lymphis illudere palma.
Stringebat tenues altera palma sinus.
Doctior Ottonis tot dextera pinxit Amores,
Quot gemitus & quot gaudia nutrit Amor.

Armati pharetris occurrunt undique Divi,
Attollunt rigidas, sed sine luce, faces.
Et quamvis maneant, geminas librantur in alas,
Et nil cum noceant, spicula sæva gerunt.
Si fas est, Venus ipsa tuo concedit honori,
Iam toties nati cuspide læsa sui.
Si fas est, similes, Væni, speramus Amores,
Sævius armatos, & magis innocuos.
