Christo confixus sum cruci.

Door het Kruis ben ik met Kristus vereenigt.
XIII.
GEZANG.
Wyze: Philis ik offer u myn min.
NU voel ik, dat ge my bemind bis
O Jesus ! eenig goed: bis
Nadien ik my met u vereenigt vind bis
In Kruis, en tegenspoed.
Hegt vry dit logge lighaam vast,
Dat myne ziel strekt tot een zwaren last, bis
't Heeft op uw heilig spoor te dikwils my verrast. bis
Ontfang ik hier voor hooftsieraad,
De scherpe Doornekroon.
Vervolgt men my met laster, schimp, en smaad.
Gedult verwint dien hoon. ( bis
Wie dus zyn kruis te dragen vreest,
Heeft noit te regt op u verlieft geweest.
O Jesus! eewig heyl versterk hier toe myn geest.
De zaligheit rust in het kruis,
In 't kruis is eewig heyl.
Het kruis vertreed de magt van 't hels gespuis,
Voor aardse weelde veyl.
Al 't zoet des Hemels woond in 't Kruis.
In haar ontvlugt men 's werrelts woest gedruis.
Ja 't eewig leven legt daar in geheelyk thuis.
Agt gy myn ziel die glori waard
O aller Vorsten Heer!
Vergun haar, dat ze, om u gekruist, op aard,
In 't Kruis ook triomfeer.
Ik smaak daar af de zoetigheyt,
Den uitverkorenen by u bereyd.
Volg dit Kompas, wiens weg van hier ten Hemel leyd.
Zoekt gy verwinning die op aard onzeker is?
In Jesus Kruisbanier is de overwinning wis.
