XI.
Donec totum expleat orbem.
QVæ Dea falcatos toties se curuat in arcus
Par Proteo ancipiti statque, caditque globo,
Postque senescentis dispendia menstrua formæ
Crescit; dum toto Sideris orbe micet:
Sic dubio calet igne Venus; sic æmula Phœbes
Orbis in exitium cornua lunat Amor.
Perque diem, & tenebras, per dāna, per arma, per ignes,
Per lucra, per somnos, otia, vina, dapes
Crescit, & accrescet, donec totū expleat orbem.
Pœnè simul iunctæ iam coiere manus.
Quæ genua extremo non tangit pendula limbo
Fluxerat in teneros Synthesis antepedes.
Brachia nuda breues (prius vtraque longa puello)
Prostituunt manicæ:Tempore crescit Amor.
Dum nondum annosâ lustrabat lampade terras
Phœbus, & in cunis, ac tener Orbis erat;
Candidus, & simplex, castus, syncerus, inermis
Ipse suum implebat nomen, & omen Amor:

Cypris adoptiuo dederat nulla vbera nato;
Sola sed infanti Gratia Mater erat;
Nôrat adulantis nec adhuc dare blæsula vocis
Signa, nec in blandos texere verba dolos;
Non habiles pharetris humeri, non dextra sagittis,
Non arcum poterat flectere molle genu:
Furta Venus docuit, docuit Venus improba fraudes,
Aptauitque rudes ad noua bella manus.
Quæ modò tela iacit diris imbuta venenis,
Parua equitaturum vexit arundo Deum;
Et quondam innocuis prælusit pusio flammis,
Qui modò tartareas spargit vbique faces.
Scilicet improbitas cum corpore crescit, & annis;
Dum vitæ, & morum est lecta Magistra Venus.
Dens fuerat stringendus in hunc Saturne, vorandus
Hic tibi præpueris omnibus vnus erat.
An taciti metuenda mali vis vlla, vel ignis?
Nec facit ad stomachum tam leuis esca grauem?
Flamma gelu recreat, stomachum leuis esca senilem,
Parua nec est teneri vis metuenda mali.
Nî pereat, perimet: paucis si vixerit annis,
E toto victor vinciet orbe comam.

At tu nascentes extingue Cupidinis ignes
Qui legis hæc: vinci nescit adultus Amor.

Aux despens du Soleil la deesse bicorne
R'agrandist chasque nuict sa cheuelure blonde:
De mesme Cupidon impatient de borne,
A tes despens mortel, engage tout le monde.

De mane loopt te post /
De sonne doet den kost;
Hoe meer dat sy haer spoeyt /
Hoe meer sy wint / en groeyt;
Dies noyt en wilt sy staen /
Haer rond' en zy ghedaen:
Soo 's werelts sotten lust
Loopt / wint / groeyt sonder rust /
Tot dat sijn soet bedwanck
De werelt overvanckt.
