Het een niet verr’ van my/ het ander is van binnen/
Het gheen dat binnen is/ daer word’ ick van verbrandt
Het gheen dat buyten is/ dat helpt my oock van cant.
Het gheen dat binnen is dat moet ick altijdt lyden/
Het gheen dat buiten is/ dat comt my oock bestryden
De helft is wel by my3/ daer van ick gae te niet:
Dus lyd’ ick in mijn hert een vriendelick verdriet.

Twee vuren beschadigen ernstig mijn zinnen. Het ene is niet ver van mij, het andere zit van binnen. Het vuur dat in mij is verbrandt mij, het vuur dat buiten is maakt mij ook van kant. Het vuur dat in mij is moet ik altijd verdragen, het vuur dat buiten mij is, komt mij ook bestrijden. De helft hoort bij mij, waardoor ik zal vergaan. Ik lijd daarom in mijn hart een vriendelijk verdriet. |
