APPARET DISSIMVLATVS AMOR.

Dissimulas frustra: quis enim celauerit ignem?
Lumen ab indico proditur vsquè suo.

Loue will appeer.

The fyre of Cupids heat can hardly hidden bee,
Some crannie or some hole can make loue bee espyde,
And oftentymes the more when louers do it hyde,
For loue may not bee sure that noman shall it see.

s’Asconde in vano.

Celar non puoßi l'Amoroso ardore,
Monstrasi sempre in qualche parte aperto:
Difficilmente puo tener coperto,
l'Amante la paßion del miser core.

Liefde moet blijcken.

Niet wel men decken kan Cupidoos vier van minnen/
Het vindt altijdt een gat/ waer datmen ’t stopt of steeckt/
Daer ’t deur sijn stralen schiet: de maght elck meest ontbreeckt/
Te schijnen anders/ dan het hert ghetuyght van binnen.
