SEMPER IDEM.translationtranslation
Plut.
quamdiu recentibus.translationtranslation

Euer thesame.
When flowers are fresh & fayre wee take in them delight,
But vaded once and donne, all their esteem is paste,
Loue doth contrariwise in all tymes lyue and last,
For tyme must not bereaue true loue of due and right.

Altijt euen schoon.
Bemindt niet/ soo men acht de schoone blomkens cierigh/
Die soo langh sy zijn versch men maer in eeren houdt:
Is v liefs ieught verslenst/ is sy iongh ofte oudt/
Hoe ’t sy/ versmaetse niet/ maer toont v euen vierigh.

Altijd dezelfde.
Always the same.
[Plutarchus] You must not use your girl-friend like flowers who delight you as long as they are young.
