Zoals een spiegel zijn vormen verliest wanneer wat wordt voorgehouden verdwijnt en weldra andere vormen aanneemt als iets
anders opdoemt, zo zal, geloof me, ook de veranderlijke Amor wanneer hij van land verandert, even ver uit het hart als uit
het oog gaan. |

Like a mirror looses its forms when what is held up perishes, and soon takes other forms when something else comes, in the
same way also fickle Amor, believe me, will go just as far out mind as he goes out sight when he changes country. |
