Zy blinckt, en doet al blincken.

Mijn Vrouwe blinckt, en set haer claerheyt and’re by;
’Tis weerschijn van haer glans, licht’er yet goedts in my.

Cætera splendida reddens.

In speculum Sol effusus solet inde refundi.
Aureus, in cujus lux cadit ista caput.

Amovr n’a rien a soy.

Amour est au miroir tout esgal ce me semble,
Il prend d’ailleurs lueur & la redonne ensemble.

De Zon die op een Spiegel valt, wordt steeds vandaar weerkaatst,
In gouden glans staat hij op wie haar licht komt vallen.

When the sun's rays are cast into a mirror,
They are mostly reflected from there.
Golden is he, on whose head that light falls.

Liefde heeft niets eigens.

Liefde is, naar me voorkomt, de spiegel zeer gelijk:
Van elders neemt zij glans en weerkaatst die tegelijk.
